Bears are mammals of the family Ursidae. Now, there are only eight species of bear in the world which are living in a wide variety of habitats throughout the Northern Hemisphere and partially in the Southern one. In Vietnam, two species Ursus malayanus and Ursus thibetanus only are founded and threatened with extinction at present.

To propagate to the community, working together to protect bears, on the 1st of April 2012, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) issues stampset: “Bears”, consisting of 4 values and 1 block.
